Caribbean Cruise - New Years 2006
I've never been on a cruise before but have always been curious. My loving wife decided that instead of the 3 day Mexican cruise she would like to try the Caribbean (she's already done the Mexico thing & wasn't particularly impressed). So - she took care of everything and on January 2nd we were cruisin'. This is the ship the Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas. It was in very good shape but the rumor on board was that they were going to be taking it out of the water in 6 months for a total renovation.
Our view of the Miami Harbor from our stateroom balcony on our way out of town.
Nice flower basket, purple and green of course. And very nice note from my wife.
That evening was spent sailing to Nassau. We were there for the sunrise and a fine one it was. We are backing into our spot at the pier. Kinda surprising that we were up with the sun since it was 3:00 in the morning our time. None the less we enjoyed the sunrise together and headed off for an enjoyable day.
Of course we would be going over to Senor Frogs for margaritas, pictures from there a little later - some ladies room door humor at Senor Frogs.
STRAW MARKET - we were told that this is a major tourist attraction. We didn't see what all the fuss was about and we were able to get out of there without a souvenir.
I don't know what the people of Nassau would do for livelyhood without the cruise ships. Here you can see ours and two more from the deck at Senor Frogs.
Pretty happy looking girl for someone that still doesn't have her margarita. She must be in love with the photographer or something.
Her Nassau souviner was this star fish addition to her charm bracelet. Mine was a T-shrit from the Harley dealer there - I couldn't believe it either, wonder how long its been since they actually sold a bike at that dealership...
As we said good morning to Nassau with the sunrise, we say good evening with the sunset as we sail out of the harbor. Time to start getting ready for our formal dinner.
My wife looked stunning and these pictures don't even come close to reflecting that. We wern't all that happy with the pictures in general but since I'm in a suit & that doesn't happen much, I was talked into including them.
