Christmas 2007
At the local Elks Club tree lot where we always get our tree.  Justin and Lenny in soft casts & Hunter goofing in the background.  Lenny broke his foot on a dirt bike adventure and Justin had a plantars wart removed the day before.  Gus was there too but must have been running around somewhere outside the frame for this picture.
Decorating the Tree
Mom hands out the ornaments one by one and the boys place them on the tree.  This year they did a good enough job that we didn't have to go back afterward and even things out.  Gus as always, wants to be part of the action, and you'll certainly be seeing a lot of him in these pictures.
The local mountains got some good snow just before the kids got out for Christmas break so we took them skiing for a day.  The boys are getting very good at snow boarding.  Robin still manages to make a few green circle runs and Lenny limped along for a couple runs on his broken foot before calling it a day and hanging out at the lodge.
Opening one gift Christmas Eve:  This year Hunter decided he would pass on this tradition - Justin on the other hand couldn't wait to open something - ANYTHING.....
Christmas morning and the boys are anxiously awaiting the go-ahead to get started on their stockings.  Gus eagerly standing by if anyone should need any assistance.
These little hand held helicopters were at the top of their stockings and were the hit of the morning.  Funny how it's always the simple things.....
Hunter uses the mad dog style of present opening while Justin does things a little more nice and easy.

The first thing Hunter opened was this sweatshirt.  The first thing Justin opened was this jacket.  They both put them on immediately and didn't take them off until they went to bed that night.
In an effort to keep her warm on those cold days out at the ranch, the boys got Robin a wind proof fleece and a parka from Deluth Trading Co.  Can't say enough good stuff about that place...

From her husband, a box of her favorite Sees candy with a surprize inside; a trip to her favorite local day spa for some pampering.  She is complaining because the adults weren't supposed to be exchanging gifts this year.....
Justin got Lenny a pair of much needed elbow pads for the next dirt bike adventure, and Hunter picked out a cool Harley T-shirt.
Stephanie and her husband Alex came up from San Diego on the 27th and another round of gifts were delivered.  Of course Dexter came along and Gus was thrilled because that means he has a playmate for a couple days.
Christmas at home with our family was wonderful and we have enjoyed sharing it with you......
