Right on the Ventura/Los Angeles County line. If we're riding up or down the coast it's a safe bet that we'll be stopping here for a beer & a glass of wine, some fried oysters - or just to stretch our legs.
Hwy 36 between Red Bluff and Fortuna. This is one of the VERY BEST motorcycle roads I've been on. If you get the chance, don't miss this stretch of asphalt.
Going over the Sierra Nevada mountains via State Route 4 will take you over the top at Ebbit's Pass. Plan to be out of these mountains before dusk though - lots of deer.

The Redwood Run is one of our regular rides that we try to make every year. It's held all the way up in Northern California so it's a bit of a road trip there and back but hey - It's not so much the destination as the RIDE. Parked inside. We all ordered cheese burgers (in paradise) and were quite surprised that there was no Hines 57.
On the road back to Daytona from Key West I almost wrecked the bike when we passed this place on the side of the road. I slammed on the brakes and headed back. I just couldn't pass up a couple of those $1.00 long necks, then I planned to check out the two for one margarita deal, and top it all off with one of their hummers they are so proud of. Wouldn't you know it - they were closed....

Kinda tough to find a place to park a bike on main street, and this is still early in the day. Later on, the street was PACKED with people; then getting your bike out was the problem!!
