Getting packed up for our last 400 miles to Sturgis.
The GPS put us on this back country road when we left Cody.  It's a true farm road but recently paved and 65 mph speed limit; not that any speed limit enforcement was expected.  I think we might have seen 2 cars in 25 miles.  Anyway, it was a great road and without the GPS we'd never taken it.  That GPS is the ticket for sure - glad we have it along.
I have really been missing my sunglass strap (without it my glasses want to come off when I turn my head) and have looked for one here and there along the way.  This good-ole-boy at the gas station in Worland, WY said, "Over ta Loaf N Jug they gotta new dis-play with some a that kinda stuff.  I know they had some on that display I think they only have the grey ones left tho."  He was right, and I thought Loaf N Jug would be a unique name but they have them all over...
This place brings back memories so I like to stop here whenever I go by.  At nearly 10,000 feet it's cool up here and it's a nice ride.  The first time I was here I had a snow plow for my escort back up to main road.
Escort Out of Town

I don't remember where exactly but about half way through his town, this Highway Patrol officer pulled out in front of us and led us out.
This is where you pay for your Buffalo Chip experience; 14 lines, 8 people deep.  Not too bad a deal though because your camping fee includes all the entertainment and concerts.  Lots of people stay other places and then pay the same price just to see the concert.
Speaking of concerts, here is the main stage.  Tonight's bands are CCR (R=Revisited) & George Thoroughgood.  There is no place to sit so people just ride their bikes in and sit on them - how cool is that..........
Before the concert, you can bowl a midget or this girl, watch burnouts, and freestyle motorcycle jumping.

And of course there are vendors everywhere.
After the concert you can watch this drunk demonstrate his flashlight stand.  I'm told it was hilarious....
